Welcome to AWANA! What a strange word. Actually it is not. Instead each letter represents a word. AWANA means: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. It comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. It means individuals who earnestly study and apply the Bible will not be ashamed of what they have come to know and believe about God.

We get together every Sunday evening during the school year from 5:30 pm to 7:15 pm. It is a great time of fun and learning. Our evening is divided into 3 parts: game time, handbook time and council time. Our goal is to make God’s word fun and relevant for today’s kids. Special events are planned throughout the year and each month we have a fun theme night where kids may dress crazy, play crazy games and win those crazy awana bucks. Those bucks can be used at the Awana store and also for special events.

About Our AWANA Commander

Tom Jude is our commander. He holds a B.A. from Marshall University in education and a Bible degree from Cedarville University. Tom and his wife, Nora, have worked in the ministry since 1997. They were married in 1985 and have 3 grown children.
