Junior High is a unique time where many important life decisions are made. It is a very influential age where these decisions can affect their spiritual lives in significant ways. This ministry is dedicated to help with the transition of childhood to teenager-dom. A transition we hope and pray will lead to a stronger faith and a greater love for God.
About our Jr High directors: James and Nicole Waldo love working with the Junior High students and helping them to better understand their faith, while making it their own personal faith. It is their desire that the Junior High Students gain an understanding of God and build their relationship with God.
James graduated from Cedarville University with a major in education and a minor in Bible. He works as a teacher for Columbus City Schools. He hopes that he can use the skills that he has learned throughout his career to guide the Junior High class in their Bible Studies. James loves watching college football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, playing with his children, and hiking with Nicole. Nicole graduated from the University of North Texas with a Communications major. She is not a Buckeye fan, but the church still accepts her into the church family. Nicole enjoys reading, cooking, connecting with people, and finding new adventures. Together, they aim to use some of their unique life experiences (they lived in the Middle East for six years) to assist students in understanding and applying God's Word into their lives. They are always happy to spend time, talk with, and help any of the Junior and Senior High students.
Sunday School - Jr. High
MSM Sunday school allows students to interact and learn the basic truths of Scripture in a relaxed classroom environment.
While it is a Sunday School format of teaching and learning, the student has the opportunity to ask questions and discover how God’s Word is practical for everyday life.
Current Series: Basic Theology and Bible Basics
Description: This Winter and Spring students will cover many different basic Theological topics. Students will discover basic Theology directly from the Bible while discussing and applying the theology into their daily lives and walk with Christ. Throughout this unit we will often refer back to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

Sunday Night Live - Combined Jr. High & High School
Sunday Night Live is a time where our purpose can be accomplished. Starting a relationship with God can happen when inviting friends to the play, praise, and pray night. This is a night when we have a fun activity, sing and praise God with our praise band, and pray together. Also, strengthening your relationship with God happens in our Bible study time. Lastly, service to God and others happens during our service project nights that include local and international projects.
Sunday Night Live begins at 6pm but teens are encouraged to come early to hang out and play games. Sunday Night Live is located in a separate building behind the church facility. It is the big beige building... you can't miss it.
*Note: During the winter months, the group will meet INSIDE the church building.
