"Inviting People to KNOW & FOLLOW Christ"
Our Mission: The Great Commission
We at MBC believe that the Bible commands us to share our faith with others. We are a growing congregation committing ourselves to expanding our family through evangelism and discipleship. There are many ways we help our members accomplish that task.
"J.Y." Memorial Biker Brunch/Toy Drive
MBC hosts an annual Biker Brunch/Toy Drive [Toys for Disadvantaged Kids...TDK = MBC’s trademark ministry name for this outreach] in the fall. God provided through our biker friends [over 200 bikers participated] many children’s toys and gifts for our Angel Tree Families. We work with Prison Fellowship in providing toys for families who have loved ones incarcerated. We also help families with whom our church has contact that experience real needs around the holidays. We provide turkeys/hams & groceries as well as toys.
We have changed the name of our Biker Brunch/Toy drive to reflect the passion and honor the memory of our beloved Biker Gary Jonas, whom God called home to be with Christ fall of 2012. Please check the church calendar for the next “J.Y.” Memorial Biker Brunch/Toy Drive. All bikers are invited.
Memorial Play Cafe (launched 9/12/2017)
A free play cafe for children (birth to 5 yo) to play and interact and their parents/guardians to gather for coffee, pastries, and friendship. Memorial Play Cafe runs Tuesday mornings 10am to noon, from Sep to Nov and Jan to April/May. Registration and waiver form required.
In the early fall of each year after school starts we have a Saturday Community Carnival with booths, inflatables, food, and fun. We hold this on the back of our property as a means of building relationships with our neighbors and their children in our community.
Community Easter Egg Hunt
Each year we reach out to the children of our community and their families through our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. This event takes place on the Saturday before Easter Sunday on our grounds and in our gym. We have games, face painting, crafts, petting zoo, inflatables, a prayer table and a puppet program that explains what Easter is really all about: the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. And of course we have thousands of eggs ready for the kids to pick up.
Lunches To Local Schools And Businesses
This ministry provides lunches to local schools and businesses. It is just another way we can show others we care about them.
God has given us opportunity to be a voting center for our district. We welcome many people through our doors on voting days for local and national elections. We feed the election workers and provide the facilities to our community on these special days.
Red Cross Blood Drives
We also host Red Cross blood drives at our church throughout the year. We want our community to know that we care for them and desire to show that care in tangible ways. Many of our people give blood at these events. You may call the church office for scheduled blood drive times.
We host a home schooling group that meet in our facility each week throughout the school year. It is our desire to encourage young families and families with teenagers in Biblical values-based education. We have students from our church attending the home school group, as well as having students in our church family that attend area Christian and public schools as well. They all find a home within the fellowship of our church family!
Friend's Ministry Outreach
Each year MBC has the opportunity to serve meals to financially disadvantaged people at the Friends Ministry's "Saturday Night with Friends" outreach. Our members donate food and clothing, and prepare and serve approximately 250 hot meals to those in need.
